ASPINA's next-generation blower passed an IEC 60601-1 fire test for oxygen-related applications

ASPINA's medical blower currently under development uses flame-retardant materials to support oxygen compatibility in medical devices handling high-concentration oxygen. To help customers address fire safety considerations during product development, ASPINA had the blower evaluated by an independent testing organization.
IEC 60601-1 11.2.2.1 b 4 Fire Test
For the fire test, an ignition source was placed inside the blower; the ignition source was then ignited while the blower was powered on to verify whether the fire spread to the outside. Test results confirmed that the blower met the applicable requirements of IEC 60601-1 subclause 11.2.2.1 b 4.
